/// ABOUT FREELANCE
Freelance is an American band based in Harlem, NY. Their sound is influenced by genres such as electronic fusion, jazz, alternative rock, and neo soul, to name a few. By design, the name itself is the best way to define their genre, considering they are not committed to any specific music style. Their sound is Freelance. The band currently consists of founding leaders, Tim "Smithsoneon" Smith (Vocals) and Chad Selph (Keyboards), along with Craig Hill (saxophone), Yasser Tejeda (guitar), Justin Tyson (drums), and David Ginyard (bass). Each band member possesses an extensive resume, reflecting a wide range of established artists such as Jesse J, Kenny Garrett, Walter Beasley, Prince Royce, Solange, Esperanza Spalding, and many more. The origins of Freelance began at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, where they developed their craft while establishing close friendships. It is this friendship that propelled them to create their own sound and begin to perform around the greater area of Boston. Through a new progressive sound, they intend to uplift spirits and raise awareness, while exuding a familiar energy that people can relate to. They intend to inspire their audience to live freely and pursue their passions; to "Live Freelance".
