As EMW's Bookkeeper, you will be building an infrastructure that will allow us to hone in on the core of our organization: our programs. By making financial processes a breeze (Accounts payable and receivable! Reimbursements! Cash flow!), you will be a key player in creating unbelievable value to our community space. 




  • Maintain bookkeeping, cash flow, disbursement schedule, cash receipts, and accounts.

  • Execute regular reconcilations with development, banking, petty cash, and credit card accounts.

  • Process and prepare monthly staff expenses and reimbursement claims.

  • Provide reports detailing monthly and yearly financial reporting, in support of and in coordination with the Director/Assistant Director.

  • Manage petty cash accounts.


  • A reliable work ethic and a passion for the EMW mission.

  • QuickBooks experience and basic knowledge of general accounting principles.

  • Ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of personal accountability and follow-through on assignments.

  • Ability to interpret instructions quickly, and a knack for anticipating and solving day-to-day problems.

  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Strong command of Microsoft programs (specifically Excel)

  • Experience working with nonprofits and/or working with Salesforce preferred.


  • 20 hours/week

  • Occasional evening availability requested.
