As EMW's Bookkeeper, you will be building an infrastructure that will allow us to hone in on the core of our organization: our programs. By making financial processes a breeze (Accounts payable and receivable! Reimbursements! Cash flow!), you will be a key player in creating unbelievable value to our community space.
Maintain bookkeeping, cash flow, disbursement schedule, cash receipts, and accounts.
Execute regular reconcilations with development, banking, petty cash, and credit card accounts.
Process and prepare monthly staff expenses and reimbursement claims.
Provide reports detailing monthly and yearly financial reporting, in support of and in coordination with the Director/Assistant Director.
Manage petty cash accounts.
A reliable work ethic and a passion for the EMW mission.
QuickBooks experience and basic knowledge of general accounting principles.
Ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of personal accountability and follow-through on assignments.
Ability to interpret instructions quickly, and a knack for anticipating and solving day-to-day problems.
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Strong command of Microsoft programs (specifically Excel)
Experience working with nonprofits and/or working with Salesforce preferred.
